i think this picture can help artists on getting an idea of combinations, contrasts and legibility from the NES palette. At http://pastebin.com/3UcNRuMt i posted the sdlBasic source (simpler to use than Python-Pygame) used for creating this picture. Btw, both sdlBasic and Python-Pygame can be very helpful for creating converters and development tools for Playpower.org . Please consider i have no idea about how fine this would look on a TV set, due on the beam return speed on YUV chrominance values used there electronically (if rgb or scart connections were not used). Code contributions from people able to code a NES demo using this picture idea for TV set display testing, or similar, are very welcome anyway!
