I was just in India and I purchased two of them.  One even has a mouse.  Is this useful to anyone right now?

Marcel,

I know exactly where you can get one in Dehli.  At Rajiv Chowk (formerly Canaught Place under the Brits) There is an under ground market (it's literally under ground) called Palika Bazaar.  They can go up to any of the vendors selling games and electronics and ask for an 8-bit gaming system.  They should insist on 8-bit (obviously, but the vendor will really try to sell them on a 16 bit one).  And they should try to get it for 500rs or less (I had a native hindi speaker with me so I was able to negotiate a pretty good deal but I guess take what you can get).

Marcel,

I would LOVE for you to make a tool that made development easier.  Keep me posted.
