Briefly describe your background:
I am a former secondary mathematics teacher, having worked in high schools in Georgia and Tennessee. Currently I am a community college mathematics instructor and math lab coordinator at Pellissippi State Community College in Knoxville, Tennessee. In addition I am a mathematics education doctoral student at the University of Tennessee. I will be involved with the Mathematics Fluency Data Collaborative project.
How would you like to help Playpower?
We will be aiding in development of the mathematical content and content based pedagogy during the game design and testing process. Our developmental mathematics students will be testing the games over the 2011-2012 academic year.
