Briefly describe your background:
I'm a doctoral student in the Educational Communication and Technology program at New York University, where I am a part of the Consortium for Research and Evaluation of Advanced Technologies in Education (create.alt.ed.nyu.edu) team. I am involved in the "Molecules and Minds II: Bridging Representations in Science Education" project and the Games For Learning Institute (g4li.org). Great times! Nothing goes together quite like NES and Aubrey Beardsley (and a few drinks, of course)!

Hey Dixie,

I'd love to have an PlayPower event at ITP/NYU. Jeremiah should also be involved with this, since he's going to be a resident researcher next year here at ITP. Also, I have some contacts at the NYU Game Center, NYU Poly Tech, and Games for Learning Institute. Not sure if they'd be interested being involved, but I can ask. Let's start with ITP and take it from there.

Thanks!
Matt

If I teach game design in the spring of 2011 again (which is not 100% yet), then I would love to have a playpower workshop at Rutgers! But even if not, it sounds like a good idea. Will keep you posted.
