Hello PlaypowerCommuntiy,
I'm currently trying to get my hands on some hardware that is similiar to any of these 10$ Computers (with keyboard and mouse, if possible)...
The link to MakerShed (found in the wiki: http://playpower.pbworks.com/w/page/17230497/Frequently%20Asked%20Q... ) is no longer available. So, I guess they stopped the cooperation with Playpower Foundation?!
I've also found these 2 pages here about getting hardware:
http://volunteers.playpower.org/forum/topics/ukeu-access-to-hardware
http://volunteers.playpower.org/profiles/blogs/uk-supply-of-famiclo...
The UK supplier is only selling the "NES/Famicom clone, 'Educational Computer' console set" (for £3... now, which is sadly without any mouse input device. But seems for me the only place to still get anything thats similiar to the 10$ computer. I'm thinking about getting one there, if I can't find a 10$ Computer with keyboard & mouse...
So, there are really no other online suppliers (worldwide)?
Any help would be highly appreciated... Thanks in advance!

Permalink Reply by Bernhard Jung on February 15, 2012 at 11:34am Hi,
I ordered 3 machines via indiangenie.com and everything worked fine, except that one of them computers was a different model. A black one with a smaller keyboard, the software was the same though. I was a bit upset because they didn't aks if it was OK or even tell me they'd send a different model. So if you order you should make clear what you want and what not.
I ordered on Jan 8 and the package arrived in Germany on Jan 24. I paid 9000 INR for everything to indiangenie and a additional toll at the customs office.
I would order again via indiagenie. They will probably not send a wrong model anytime soon again. I had a email exchange with them over the wrong model and I made clear that this is not acceptable. I assume the just wanted to send me the computers as fast as possilbe and to them any 8-bit machine is probably as go as any other. Overall they were very helpful and nothing but friendly. It easy to get worse service from a much bigger company.
